Heart Failure (Congestive Heart Failure)

  • Description: This occurs when the heart is unable to pump blood effectively to meet the body's needs. It can result from conditions such as CAD, high blood pressure, or heart attack.
  • Symptoms: Shortness of breath, swelling in the legs, ankles, or abdomen, fatigue, and difficulty exercising.


Valvular Heart Disease

  • Description: This involves problems with one or more of the heart's four valves (mitral, aortic, tricuspid, and pulmonary valves). Valves may become narrowed (stenosis), leaky (regurgitation), or may fail to open properly.
  • Symptoms: Fatigue, shortness of breath, swelling, chest pain, irregular heartbeats.

Heart Attack

  • Description: A heart attack happens when a blockage in a coronary artery prevents oxygen-rich blood from reaching a part of the heart muscle, leading to tissue damage.
  • Symptoms: Chest pain, nausea, shortness of breath, cold sweats, dizziness.
